This is the place to be! The ultimate, affordable, cozy beach cottage! Enjoy the true St. Simons flavor of a beach cottage with amenities and gorgeous views of the ocean. Just steps to the beach. Features a fully equipped kitchen, king size bedroom, loft with a double and twin beds, pull out queen sleeper sofa in the living room, 1 full bath downstairs, a half bath in the loft, and an outdoor shower. Living areas include dining area/living room with fire place, large screened porch and patio with grill. From the upper deck, have your coffee and watch the sunrise or in the evenings, watch the moon rise over the ocean. Pets considered with a $250 nonrefundable pet fee.

  My husband and I wanted a quick getaway and this beach cottage was perfect. The location is steps away from the dunes and the beach so a great sunrise or sunset stroll is easy. The property has a great elevated deck that was perfect for a glass of wine with views of the beach. Close to restaurants and bars in the cute downtown area. Property managers were very responsive with check in and check out was very easy!

  Home was very clean and in a quiet location in East Beach. The exposed brick is a neat look. Steps away from the beach walkover, and maybe a 5 minute walk in total from the door of the house through the dunes to get to the beach. Lots of dishes, cooking utensils and pots/pans. Downstairs was always nice and cool, but the upstairs loft tended to be warmer than downstairs (there is an A/C unit up there that we did not adjust during our stay) We had a wonderful time and we will definitely stay here again.

  Let me start by saying we will be back to this cozy cottage. The cottage is truly a gem and the East Beach location is our personal favorite. The path to the beach next to the cottage is a walk through the Dunes area which flows out to East Beach. For a change of pace, you can also access the beach if you want to take a quick walk through the neighborhood and then hit the beach from 13th street. The beach was not crowded at all. I highly recommend taking in the beautiful sunrises. The cottage even had a couple of beach chairs we used so we did not have to rent them. There is 1 full bathroom and a half bath so I would not recommend more than 2-4 adults. The cottage is close to horseback riding, kayaking, Gould's inlet, and restaurants ....yet the cottage is at the end of a residential cul-de-sac so it is so peaceful and private. Walk right out of the master bedroom to the private deck next to the cottage. Every night we had a great star show, with two great views of the ocean and surrounded by palm trees. Loved it!!!! I started and ended the day with my husband on that deck. My son and girlfriend loved hanging out in the loft and were able to hook up their switch and Xbox to the TV in the great room to play at night. It was perfect for all of us and I can't wait to come back.

  We love staying here because of location (easy beach access) and it's dog friendly. Appreciate the rustic vibes of property, but possibly time for some simple upgrades such as cleaner bed linens, carpets, kitchen appliances (specifically coffee maker). I also noticed some mold in the bathroom.

  This quaint 1950’s East Beach cottage is perfect for a couple and for is beautifully decorated with artwork adorning the walls and tasteful accent pieces throughout.The cottage is very bright and cheery in a peaceful and beautiful area.
  The nice screened porch has 2 large ceiling fans, making it perfect for rainy days, morning coffee & outside dining . A very comfortable den with fireplace and a small kitchen on the left of the stairs leading to the loft. While small, the kitchen has every cooking utensil/ pots/pans needed plus a small washer/dryer.
  The large master is located to the right of the stairs and a full bath joins the kitchen and the master. The bath still needs some updating, but I’m sure this is something the new owners have on their remodel to do list- If was fine for us, though.
  You can access the nice side yard and observation deck from the outside or via a master bedroom door. The outdoor shower can be accessed from an extra bathroom door.The observation deck is really nice early in the morning and at is very sunny during the day but has a table and umbrella that provides shade. There are two houses now built in front of this cottage, but the observation deck allows you to peak between the homes for an ocean view. An arbor hedge is in front of the screen porch that provides privacy from the homes built in front.
  The upstairs loft features several twin beds and a half bath, and it has its own air conditioning unit as does the den and master- All a/c units were quiet and worked extremely well!!
  To get to the beach,walk only 20 yards on 12th St to a path that crosses the first dunes and winds past the high tide inlet to the second dunes where the ocean is- About 3-5 min walk depending on what you are carrying.
  Ga Coast Realty was excellent to work with(Thank you Sarah) & you wont find a better pet friendly cottage this nice & this close to the beach for this price! We’ll

  I have stayed at this cottage, managed by Georgia Coast Realty for several years now. I LOVE this authentic early east beach cottage which has a great deal of charm and authenticity. The decor is lovely and beach friendly. The screen porch is an ideal spot for just relaxing or entertaining. The separate deck with beach views is fabulous for soaking in the sun and or entertaining small groups, especially in early evening when the sky is so beautiful. The cottage 's location to the beach cannot be beat as I am partial to the Gould's Inlet end of East Beach. Needless to say, it is heaven for me and my guests.

  The wife and I were here for only a few days to celebrate a very belated anniversary trip. The weather was warm and crisp, just what we needed. SSI is a fantastic low key area that is extremely dog friendly...which is a great benefit. The rental was just steps away from the beach access, so could barely get much closer to beach front. All in all it was a great place, however I would be concerned with the cooling system in the heat of the summer (just speculating here as it was fine for the low 80s we experienced)...everything is nice and as expected. My wife and I felt the rental process was a bit "clunky" by today's standards, as you have to wait a day or two on a response as to actually acquiring the rental or not, which was to ideal for planning a somewhat last minute trip, and based on the payment breakdown the management fee was a lion's share of the cost...which is a bit high for the property. All in all it was a solid rental in a great location. SSI will be a destination for us again in the future and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

  Wonderful older brick cottage, very clean. We were able to take our 2 dogs, nice because they are allowed on the beach, in leash, until Memorial weekend.
  Very quiet location, lovely palm trees , honeysuckle trellis and sweet smelling flowers. We did have a view from the raised deck, photos need updating , trees have grown taller. The inside is much nicer than what is shown in the photos and the porch has furniture and a dining table.
  Loved the outside shower connected to bathroom by a door, would have been nice to have a raised wooden platform to keep your feet off the sandy flooring.
  There were plenty of dishes, flat wear , pots, pans, etc. Bring any staples that you use.
  Had one problem with the dishwasher , a repair person came with in 40 minutes!
  We would definitely return!

  Info is needed for the renter about what to do at checkout. There were no instructions at all. The electric power went out in the kitchen the first time both the toaster and coffee maker were plugged in at the same time. We had to search for the fuse box which was outside in the little storage shed.
  Otherwise, it's a lovely little house to stay in. Thank you for help with the last-minute reservation.
